The Green Future Guidelines consist of a list of defined green items. This list is referenced by and developed for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Green Point, Single Family CHOICE Program, the Balanced Housing and Home Express Green Requirements, and the Special Needs Housing Trust Fund Sustainability Guidelines to address green building requirements or recommendations. Green Future can also be used by anyone looking for a beginning resource in green building practices.
Plan and Specification Example Document
This guide is an evolving manual that contains plans and specifications sourced from existing green building projects of the NJHMFA. The process of reviewing and evaluating past projects involved with the emerging Green Future program allowed for an opportunity to assess the ease of implementation of green affordable housing features. Through this document we hope to make implementation easier and more accessible to newcomers to green building. Each of the examples will include commentary and alternates to help provide options and a more comprehensive approach to meeting Green Future requirements and building green.
